Irish Pubs: From The Rooter To The Tooter

March 23, 2015

My title is a tad deceptive because the article in question is about how entire Irish pubs are built in Ireland and shipped all over the world…but whatever.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Irish pubs.  Did I say I love them?  Well, I love them.  Probably because I’m Irish on my father’s, mother’s, cousin’s, friend’s, doctor’s side, twice removed.  Anyway…I have been to hundreds of pubs around the world. No joke…Dubai, Jamaica, London and China.  Yes, China. That was one heck of a good time.  Well…they ALL are one heck of a good time. Who has ever had a bad time at an Irish pub? If you have had a bad time, then it has to be you.  Yea, I said it! I blame you. Don’t blame the room.

Kids…Its Whats For Dinner (Repost)

March 19, 2015

I had an old blog that I barely kept up, but the stories were priceless…well to me anyway so as I am in the process of closing that blog/chapter in my life, I will repost them so they will live in perpetuity.

You are very welcome…

Growing and Growing

March 19, 2015

Interesting article I found on the Brewers Association web page. If you are interested in the growth of craft beer and small and independant breweries, it details the increase.

I wonder if the big boys are shaking in their boots? I know at one time a particular very large beer company wanted 100% of the market share and tried to browbeat distributors into ONLY carrying their brand. Sounds like sour grapes or running scared. What do you think?

Women Brew Too!

March 10, 2015

Yes. I will talk about this day…but first thing first. The time change is kicking my arse. I naturally wake up around 6:30am but this morning when I got up, I wanted to pull my eyeballs out. Although I was not thrilled to be up, I was however; thrilled because I was heading down to Griffin Claw Brewery in Birmingham to be a part of the International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day.  This day celebrates the women of craft brewing and also raises funds and awareness for the pinkbootssociety.org

Blog Troubles

March 3, 2015

Let’s start at the very beginning.  Blog troubles.

The trouble with writing a blog is the constant “interesting, relevant and relatable” content…which is why I’ve never really made an honest attempt…None of those adjectives apply to me or my writing (interesting, relevant, relatable) I’m still listening to TLC on my tape deck…how relevant does that sound?

What I am is silly, very laid back, (except for road rage) very dry humored and highly sarcastic.  I guess we shall see if that flies on this blog.
